Responsible gambling

Last updated 10 August 2026

Gambling should be entertainment you can afford. It is not a way to make money, and it can become harmful. The tools below are free, take effect immediately, and using them will never affect your account standing.

Tools you control

  • Deposit limits — Cap what you can deposit per day, week or month. Decreases apply immediately; increases are held for a cooling-off period before they take effect. Set a deposit limit.
  • Session reminders — Get a reminder on screen after a set amount of play, showing how long you have been logged in and what you have staked. Set a reminder.
  • Take a break — Lock your account for 24 hours, a week or a month. You cannot deposit or place a bet until it ends, and it cannot be lifted early. Take a break.
  • Self-exclusion — Close your account for a minimum of six months. We will also remove you from all marketing. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the period ends. Self-exclude.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion closes your account for a minimum of six months. During that period you will not be able to log in, deposit, or place a bet, and we will remove you from every marketing list we operate. We cannot lift a self-exclusion early, for any reason, including at your own request.

Any balance in your account at the point of self-exclusion will be returned to you. Self-exclusion applies across every Zappx product — casino, sports and prediction markets — and to any other brand operated under the same licence.

If you want to self-exclude from every UK-licensed operator at once, use GAMSTOP, which is free and independent of us.

Under 18s cannot gamble

You must be 18 or over to hold a Zappx account. Gambling by anyone under 18 is an offence. We verify the age of every customer, and where we find an account has been opened by a minor we close it, void all bets, withhold any winnings and notify the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.

If children have access to your device, use parental controls to block gambling sites. Free tools include FamiSafe, Net Nanny and GamBlock. Never let someone under 18 use your account, and do not leave it logged in on a shared device.

Signs it may be becoming a problem

  • Spending more time or money on gambling than you intended.
  • Chasing losses — betting again to win back what you have lost.
  • Gambling with money set aside for bills, rent or family.
  • Borrowing money, selling things, or hiding what you spend.
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or low when you are not gambling.
  • Gambling to escape stress, boredom or low mood.
  • People close to you raising concerns about your gambling.

If several of these sound familiar, the organisations below offer free, confidential help. You do not have to be in crisis to contact them.
